Harrogate and Knaresborough Labour Party invite you to celebrate
International Women’s Day
On Sunday 3rd March at 1.45pm at the Chain Lane Hub, Knaresborough HG5 0AS
Welcome glass of wine, fresh orange or sparkling water.
- 2.00pm A short drama of an abusive relationship, then an update by former practising solicitor Jan Williams, of the North Yorkshire PFCC domestic abuse scrutiny panel, on campaigning to strengthen injunctions.
- 2.30pm Author and leadership trainer, Nan Sloane, whose work reflects her interest in the role of women in the public space, particularly politics, will speak and Q and A on her latest book, Uncontrollable Women: radicals, reformers and revolutionaries.
- 3.45 – 4.30 Tea or coffee with home-made scones.
Suggested donation of £8 (cash only please) includes a raffle ticket, first prize a signed copy of Uncontrollable Women.
